Story:
We developed this 18k Yellow Gold Brooch with local artisans in Bulgaria, where Kiril’s family is from, tapping into a not so well known history of craftsmanship. There, we tested various jewelry-making techniques, like forging, hammering, texturing, and dapping to create hollow or solid silver shapes.
If you decide to order this brooch in 925 Sterling or 999 Fine Silver, please note that the higher the purity of the silver, the more fragile and malleable the earrings will be. This concept of fragility is actually something we love, and one of the first earring designs we made was in 999 Fine Silver, still worn by Elina today.
Additionally, the biggest advantage of solid 18k gold and solid 925 silver jewelry is its durability and longevity. Unlike other types of jewelry that may tarnish or fade over time due to a smaller amount of silver and a larger amount of other metals with unknown origins, 925 Sterling Silver is made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals.
