Handmade Mouthblown Glass Lamps and Vases.
We developed our ‘’Glass Drops’’ series with local artisans in Bulgaria, where Kiril’s family is from and where there used to be a strong industry in the field of glass making, both industrial and artisanal glass. There we explored various glassblowing and glass forming techniques.

In addition, we worked with techniques like free-blowing (entirely done by mouth and hands, without the use of any molds). And mouth-blowing (done by mouth and hands, but with the use of a crafted mold). We also tried other methods like casting and slumping, where sheets of glass are laid over a mold and shaped by the force of gravity.
One of the most fascinating qualities of glass for us is its ability to metamorphose. The changing appearance of our mouth-blown glass lights can vary depending on their thickness, light bulb inside, reflections from other objects in an interior and external light. For this reason we recommend using dim light bulbs to accentuate the idiosyncratic character of the glass.
We make our mouthblown glass lamps to order and in small series. You can customize our mouth blown pendants in a unique lighting installation for a specific interior. They are E27 light bulb compatible, with LED light bulb included and recommended. Additionally, it is possible to customize the cable and ceiling rose on request. Also, we provide UK and US wiring on request.
Since our handmade mouthblown glass lamps and vases are crafted individually, all measurements are approximate and may include small bubbles, swirls, or color variations. Each lighting feature is formed using traditional and contemporary mouth blowing techniques. Hence resulting in no two pieces exactly alike.
The glass blowing process involves heating high-quality glass to a molten state and then blowing it into the desired shapes. Additionally, the varying qualities of our mouthblown glass lamps can make them blend in or become a focal point in an interior. We wanted them to work for both modern and classic interiors, as functional lighting or a statement pieces.
